Since my first internship with Accor back to 2008, I have been always passionate for the hospitality industry because of its diversity, beauty, human touch and all sorts of excitement. I’m particularly interested in hotel development and investment. Therefore I took courses such as corporate finance, Merger & Acquisition and strategy at school. My performance in studies was well recognized.
During my undergraduate studies in Southeast University in Nanjing, China, I was granted the President Scholarship by my university.
When entering ESSEC for my graduate studies, I received Accor Scholarship. I obtained the degree of Master of Business Administration from ESSEC in 2011 with good academic scores and rich professional experiences.
In order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of this industry, I completed different trainings in hotel development, hotel operation, auditing and asset management.
I acquired skills of market research, data analysis and presentations from my internship with Accor development in Singapore. The summer in Sofitel Arc de Triomphe allowed me to learn hotel operational skills and improve French language. More importantly, it taught me about the real meaning of “respect” and “service”. My following internship in KPMG France gave me an opportunity to see the hotel groups from procedure design and financial statement perspectives. During my training in Shanghai with Accor China, I learnt about the country-specific regulations and procedures. Those diverse experiences prepared me well for the future challenges.
With the passion for this industry and Accor group, I officially joined the development department of Accor Asia Pacific in Singapore as Business Analyst in April 2011. This is exactly where I started my very first internship in 2008. After 3 years of continuous learning, I finally made my way back with more knowledge, experiences and profound passion! Since then, I have been part of the most exciting projects and witnessed the fast growth of Accor hotel network in the region.
There are many other exciting projects I worked on which I would love to share with you. By working on various projects, I developed analytical skills, fast-learning ability and time & stress management. Those skills and abilities allow me to work efficiently and effectively in various situations with multinational teams.
Currently I’m working hard to become a good hotel developer and help grow Accor’s network across the region. In the future, I hope to be able to handle hotel investment and development projects independently. I’m eager to continue being part of Accor’s success!
