The Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt is a four-star Superior Hotel that extends over a total floor area of approximately 23,000 m2 and offers 339 rooms including 23 suites. It opened on May 1, 2014. It also boasts a restaurant area, which extends over an area of 700 m2 and features exclusive private dining facilities and an open-cooking station. The hotel offers an 850-m2 conferencing and meeting center and a 400-m² Ballroom/multi-functional space. The top floor of the eight-story building is home to an extensive Spa, Health and Beauty Centre, where guests can relax whilst enjoying spectacular views over the Federal Chancellery and the River Spree. Some 500 square meters of rental space are available on the ground floor for restaurants and retail outlets. A 80 sqm LED-Light Sheet, frequently changing its color reaches over two floors in the lobby and creates a fascinating atmosphere for our guests. Throughout the entire building, the latest, tailor-made furniture has been used from international designers. Each bedroom has a large window front (from top to bottom) which provides plenty of daylight for the guest.

The new Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt has been certified in accordance with the standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for its sustainable and environmentally friendly design. It is the first hotel in the capital, which offers a home to bees to stress its green concept. The honey is served to our guests.
77 highly motivated members joined the hotel team - 17 of those from other Steigenberger Hotels of the group. All team members have been trained in 50 different modules.
Steigenberger will operate the hotel on a 20-year lease. The project's owner and developer is "STRAUSS & PARTNER Development GmbH". "Ortner & Ortner" of Berlin have prepared the architectural design for the building.
