3.    Advancement

FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management serves a global community with a diverse student body that represents the future of the American public universities.  With over 300 degrees being awarded to minorities each year, the Chaplin School is the number one institution in the United States awarding hospitality management degrees to minorities. Also, we are the number one master’s in hospitality management degree granting institution in the United States, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.  Overall, the school awards more than 800 bachelor’s and master’s degrees every year. Our students will be prepared to be the driving force of innovation in the hospitality and tourism industry. The typical skills set expected by the leading organizations in the hospitality industry is increasingly becoming more demanding. In adapting to this market shift, the Chaplin School aims to become a global solutions center targeting innovation, technology, analytics, and entrepreneurship. By addressing the need for comprehensive programs focused on these four pillars, the Chaplin School’s vision is unique in the academic world.
