Ankur Gairola, the Hotel Manager of Raajkutir, IHCL SeleQtions, has significantly elevated the property’s standing in Kolkata’s hospitality landscape through exceptional leadership and strategic initiatives. Raajkutir, located in the heart of Kolkata, is a five-star hotel that uniquely blends the grandeur of Bengal’s 19th-century Renaissance with modern luxury, offering guests an authentic cultural experience.
Under Ankur’s leadership, Raajkutir achieved a 189% increase in total revenue compared to FY 2019-2020 and a 31% revenue growth in FY 2023-2024 compared to the previous fiscal year. Key financial highlights include an 83% increase in room revenue, a 30% rise in F&B outlet revenue, and a 24% growth in RevPAR. The hotel consistently ranks among Kolkata’s top ten properties, achieving a high TripAdvisor ranking of 3 out of 1,050 hotels and maintaining an impressive NPS score of 71%.
Sustainability has been a cornerstone of Ankur’s management approach, with initiatives like installing EV charging stations and using electric vehicles for guest and goods transportation. Aligned with IHCL’s Paathya initiative, the hotel focuses on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable growth.
