InterContinental Malta's new signature outlet, Lubelli, blends authentic Neapolitan pizza culture with Malta's Mediterranean lifestyle. Lubelli was developed post-COVID-19 to optimize revenue, enrich the portfolio, and uphold sustainability.
About InterContinental Malta
Opened in January 2003, InterContinental Malta caters to business and leisure travelers. The hotel boasts 481 guest rooms, 30 Highline suites, 10 restaurants and bars, extensive conference space, multiple pools, a spa, and Malta’s largest fitness center.
How It Started
Lubelli was created by the hotel team to enhance guest experiences, generate revenue, and provide employment during challenging times.
The Naming
Lubelli means "to explore something more." It offers authentic Neapolitan pizza, appealing to both tourists and locals, changing the pizzeria dynamics in Malta with top-notch service and delicious pizzas.
Vision
Lubelli aims to deliver the true taste of Napoli with stunning views of St George’s Bay. The ambiance, paired with exclusive beers and an authentic menu, creates a unique dining experience.
Design
Every seat in Lubelli offers a bay view. The open kitchen concept showcases confidence and transparency, with a wood-fired oven as a social media favorite. The outlet includes a bar and open terrace areas, complemented by Italian music.
Innovation and Sustainability
Lubelli uses glass bottles instead of plastic, promotes waste recycling, and supports beach cleanups through donations.
Pizza
Lubelli serves authentic Neapolitan pizza with ingredients sourced locally and from Italy, offering a diverse menu of pizzas, pasta, desserts, and exclusive beers.
