The project:

B&B HOTELS launched the B&B HOTELS Academy in September 2023 in partnership with Galileo Global Education to empower young individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. This two-year apprenticeship program focuses on training students in hospitality through a blend of classroom education and practical experience in B&B HOTELS. The program includes 1,351 hours of training, with participants spending two days in school and three days working at a hotel.

The initiative is part of B&B HOTELS' commitment to inclusion, diversity, and providing educational opportunities for underprivileged youth, particularly in Île-de-France. The curriculum, supported by Galileo’s BTS Tourism program, covers diverse topics such as customer relations, tourism development, and foreign languages. Additionally, B&B HOTELS' staff actively participate in workshops and mentoring, fostering professional growth among trainees.

During its pilot year, the academy enrolled 27 students across 17 hotels, many from priority neighborhoods. Feedback highlights the program’s impact, with trainees praising its practical approach and career mobility opportunities. The initiative aspires to expand further, with plans for three additional classes in Paris, Lyon, and Aix-Marseille by 2024, and aims to involve 1,000 participants by 2030.

Through this program, B&B HOTELS exemplifies its role as a responsible employer, bridging education and career pathways in hospitality while fostering inclusivity and community development.
