The project:

In line with the ethos established by Founder Sir Jamsetji Tata, IHCL launched the Care @ Tajness program during COVID-19 to provide comprehensive support and care for employees, grounded in the principles of Resilience, Responsiveness, and Resurgence. This program focuses on mental, emotional, financial, and physical wellbeing, ensuring that employees can thrive within the organization.

Key initiatives include:

  • Tajness Day: Celebrated annually, this day honors employee resilience with activities like a Memorial Service for those lost to COVID-19, a reflection wall for sharing thoughts, themed meals, wellbeing programs, and community sessions.
  • Family Inclusion: Milestone events are celebrated with employees' families to foster a sense of community and support.
  • Holistic Wellbeing: Emphasizing mental, emotional, financial, and physical health through various programs.

IHCL’s commitment to employee care has resulted in the lowest attrition rate in the industry, demonstrating strong employee loyalty and connection to the organization. This care culture is reflected in high scores on employee engagement surveys, measuring psychological safety, respect, collaboration, engagement, intent to stay, wellbeing, and inclusion. Through these efforts, IHCL ensures a supportive environment where employees and their families feel valued and cared for.
