The project:

Appart’City prioritizes the well-being and recognition of its 1,200 employees, emphasizing their crucial role in hospitality. The "From Shadow to Light" initiative aims to honor behind-the-scenes roles that ensure guest satisfaction, starting with Head Housekeepers.

The project, launched in 2023, celebrates the unsung heroes of the hotel industry, making employees proud of their contributions. This effort began with the Head Housekeepers’ Club, which includes all in-house head housekeepers who manage room attendants and maintenance work. The club, with 31 members, grew steadily since its inception.

A key feature of the project is the communication campaign, which started in May 2023. Head housekeepers participated in a make-up session and professional photo shoot, promoting their profession and enjoying a moment of recognition. The campaign combined engaging visuals and humorous catchlines with the seriousness of the job, generating sympathy and appreciation.

For Appart’City employees, this initiative acknowledged their essential work, creating visibility and commitment. For customers and the public, it raised awareness of behind-the-scenes professions and promoted Appart’City as an employer of choice. The company, recognized by Capital Magazine as a "Best Employer" and "Company Committed to Diversity," benefited from increased cleanliness scores, NPS, and turnover, demonstrating the campaign's success.

From May to September 2023, the campaign featured 15 highlighted images on LinkedIn, Instagram, Viva Engage (Yammer), and internal newsletters, achieving notable improvements: a 5% increase in cleanliness scores, a 19% rise in NPS, and a 30% turnover boost. This initiative reinforced the collective pride among Appart’City employees, enhancing both internal morale and external brand perception.
