The project:
Minor Hotels has revolutionized employee care across its 539 properties in 56 countries with the implementation of the ‘Have Your Say’ data-based listening tool. Launched in 2022 in partnership with Qualtrics, a global leader in employee experience measurement, this initiative has become integral to Minor Hotels’ commitment to understanding and responding to team members’ feedback in real time.
The ‘Have Your Say’ survey, conducted annually between August and September, evaluates key drivers such as engagement, team member experience, intent to stay, inclusion, and wellbeing. Analyzed by organizational psychologists, the survey identifies 16 critical engagement drivers and recommends targeted actions to enhance team experience and culture effectively.
To ensure maximum participation and transparency, an internal awareness campaign precedes the survey. Led by property-level People & Culture leaders and division heads, the campaign fosters excitement and engagement among team members. The survey itself, conducted confidentially over two weeks on an external online platform, collects valuable insights through both quantitative data and qualitative feedback, totaling over 10,000 open comments to date.
Results from the ‘Have Your Say’ initiative have been exceptional, surpassing global benchmarks with 87% engagement, 76% intending to stay, and 55% reporting their experience exceeds expectations. This success has been celebrated through the Minor Awards of Excellence, honoring individuals and teams who excel in nurturing talent and driving outstanding employee engagement.
Moreover, Minor Hotels’ commitment to creating a positive workplace culture was affirmed with the Great Place To Work® certification in April 2023, highlighting high scores in diversity, inclusivity, management competence, and workplace integrity. This recognition underscores Minor Hotels’ dedication to enhancing the employee experience through innovative initiatives like the ‘More You – Minor Wellbeing’ program and Whistleblower policy, ensuring ongoing growth and fulfillment for its global workforce.
