The project:

Facing recruitment challenges in the hospitality industry, Lavorel Hotels Group launched the Talent Acquisition Program "Les Artisans du Sourire" to enhance recruitment and employee retention. The objective was to become a highly attractive employer, not only to attract top talent but also to retain it, thereby reducing turnover costs and increasing loyalty.

Recognizing the importance of a positive reputation for both customers and employees, Lavorel Hotels aimed to deliver exceptional employee experiences. This strategic investment was crucial for the group's overall success.

To achieve this, Lavorel Hotels implemented several actions:

  1. Cultivating a Positive Culture: Creating an inclusive, respectful, and rewarding work environment where all team members feel valued.
  2. Professional Development: Offering cross-training, skills development, and career advancement opportunities.
  3. Mentoring and Cooptation: Encouraging mentoring among employees and leveraging a cooptation program, with 21% of recruitment from employee recommendations and 16% from employee loyalty.
  4. Internal Mobility: Promoting internal appointments and promotions across its 14 properties in France, fostering a supportive and kind workplace environment.

Focusing on soft skills, Lavorel Hotels joined the #JenesuispasunCV community in March 2023, emphasizing personality over experience in recruitment. This approach involved proactive manager participation and extensive candidate training.

A satisfaction questionnaire and career plan distributed at the end of the winter season, along with continuous engagement during the summer, resulted in a 60% return rate for seasonal employees at their Courchevel properties.
