W Costa Navarino: A Vibrant Greek Lifestyle Oasis
Opening its doors on August 11, 2022, W Costa Navarino is a brand-new, vibrant Greek lifestyle oasis. It caters to free-spirited, young-at-heart individuals who value free expression, celebrate diversity, and honor authentic experiences while respecting the local environment.
Designed by renowned Greek architects Tombazis and Associates, the hotel draws inspiration from the region’s traditional architecture, featuring cobbled paths, monolithic buildings, and stone towers. This design creates the image of a Greek coastal village, seamlessly integrating lush native greenery and green roofs overlooking the sea, aligned with Costa Navarino’s dedication to sustainable practices.
The interiors of the rooms, suites, and villas celebrate Greek craftsmanship with neutral tones accented by splashes of color. London-based MKV Design led the interior design, incorporating modern interpretations of traditional craftsmanship in lighting and flooring, inspired by Greek basket weavers and saddlery.
The unique design of the beach club, Parelía, and the food market-inspired Platía, was conceived by Tombazis and K-Studio, with the interior design of Parelía overseen by Athens-based K-Studio and the restaurant and sunset bar, Between, by Interior Design Laboratorium. A custom W totem pole, made from wood salvaged from old fishing boats, represents the art of navigation.
W Costa Navarino's passionate personality shines through its artistic and musical programming. Guests enjoy a diverse music program featuring international and local DJs, including Alex Nude, Valeron & Band, Rie Kiriiaka, Montana Cruz, and Vasilis Georgakopoulos. The hotel’s contemporary artworks, curated by Poka-Yio and artists from the Athens School of Fine Arts LAB12, promote inclusion and culture.
Dining venues throughout the resort cater to guests at any time of day, ensuring satisfaction no matter the mood. Combining traditional Messinian culture with W Hotels' unique character, W Costa Navarino offers a refined, culturally inspired design with an emphasis on art and a dynamic program, poised to make a significant mark on the Mediterranean hotel scene.
