It should provide a new approach and vision of guest experience, with a focus on design, public spaces, and overall service quality. The concept should have the potential to revolutionize the hospitality industry and offer a better quality of service for guests.

Pullman Power Fitness: Revolutionizing Hotel Fitness

Year of Launch: Q4 2021

Description: Pullman Power Fitness offers a revitalized and future-proof fitness concept, reflecting the modern and dynamic exercise experiences of leading fitness clubs. Our mission is to provide guests with next-level fitness, dynamic design, and a community where they can have fun while challenging themselves to enhance their performance, regardless of skill level. This concept inspires fresh opportunities and ensures guests stay on top of their routine even while traveling.

Needs Addressed: Pullman Power Fitness meets the growing desire for self-improvement among guests.

Innovative Aspects: The core experience is centered within the gym, integrating innovative fitness elements into the guest journey and design touchpoints. This approach, enhanced by unique partnerships, in-room experiences, and a global team of fitness ambassadors, places exercise at the core of Pullman's brand ambition.

Development and Collaboration: Developed over 18 months with a 9-month trial, the concept was created by the Pullman Brand, Accor Global Wellbeing, and Accor Global Design teams, with contributions from Bergman Interiors London, FDG Fitness LA, Les Mills Auckland, and 3 Stories Design Group London.

Implementation: Accor Wellbeing and Design & Technical Services teams oversee the implementation, with the pilot launch at Pullman Paris Montparnasse. The concept is now a Pullman standard, with 35 locations under development and key partner activations.

Unique Selling Points:

  • Costs 18% less per square meter than standard fitness rooms.
  • High guest satisfaction, scoring 21% higher than standard fitness across all Accor brands.

Impact and Results: Pullman Power Fitness has significantly improved customer satisfaction and retention, becoming the #2 recommended facility in Montparnasse. The Les Mills app and content have been activated over 25,000 times by Pullman guests. Pullman now ranks #2 in fitness quality perception against the global competition set, a jump of five places.

Future Plans: We are evaluating equipment selections to keep them up-to-date and planning to implement a pay-to-play membership model to turn guest spaces into revenue-generating areas.

Deployment and Scalability: The concept is fully piloted and deployed, with all partners and equipment sourced and priced. Extensive brand and design guidelines are available for Accor Design & Technical Services teams, making it a scalable 'hard brand' concept exceeding expectations and influencing exercise approaches within other brands.
