The project:

Since the beginning of his journey with the Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (IHCL) 22 year ago, Ritesh has demonstrated resilience and leadership across each of the assignments he has carried out. From leading the operations at some of our most iconic hotels such as the Taj Mahal, New Delhi and Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad to, most recently, heading the team at the Taj Santacruz, Mumbai – Ritesh has always been a hands on leader and role model for his team and a favourite with all our guests.

Ritesh’s ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with teams is reflected in the strong relationships that he has garnered through his journey. His calm demeanour supplemented with his sharp business and operational acumen has enabled him to effectively engage with various stakeholders to leverage his strategic mind-set.

As one of the youngest General Managers to take on the helm of the iconic Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, Ritesh’s proven ability to create lasting impact will undoubtedly go a long way in ensuring that we continue to deliver the exceptional service quality that is synonymous with the Flagship.

FY 2022-23 the hotel closed at INR 611 Crores, 32% growth Vs FY 2019-20. We set for ourselves an ambitious stretched target. INR 585 Crores as against our budget of INR 531 Crores. While were very optimistic however we had create a strategy to achieve.
