Hilton exemplifies its commitment to hospitality and community support, especially during crises. Following the conflict in Ukraine, Hilton swiftly mobilized its resources to aid affected Team Members, guests, and displaced individuals. The Hilton Global Foundation played a pivotal role by contributing to World Central Kitchen for meal provisions and partnering with Project Hope for humanitarian aid in Europe.
For its Team Members, Hilton operates the Team Member Assistance Fund (TMAF), offering financial relief for over 160 employees during the crisis, covering evacuation costs and short-term accommodations. Over its nine-year span, TMAF has disbursed nearly $3 million to assist more than 3,600 Team Members, supported by contributions from Team Members and Hilton Honors Points.
Additionally, Hilton collaborated with American Express and its ownership community to provide complimentary room nights across Europe for Ukrainian refugees through initiatives like #HospitalityHelps. Hilton Prague and Hilton Prague Old Town exemplified community support by collecting donations, housing refugees, and facilitating employment opportunities.
Hilton’s commitment extends further through partnerships like the Tent Partnership for Refugees, pledging to hire 1,500 additional refugees in the U.S. and Europe by 2025. Since 2015, Hilton has positively impacted over 78,000 refugees through various initiatives, reinforcing its role as a compassionate leader in global hospitality and community empowerment.
