The project:

Opened in 2022 at Risoul 1850, Yoonly & Friends is the first “Apart-Hostel” in the Alps, featuring a restaurant-bar and gaming area that attracts visitors from the entire ski resort. Recognizing that traditional mountain restaurants often fail to meet expectations, this innovative concept caters to the demands of young professionals who seek diverse and affordable vacation options.

Designed by Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), with 30 years of mountain hospitality experience, Yoonly & Friends targets 25-35-year-olds with a hybrid residence combining urban hostel vibes and contemporary amenities. The facility includes apartments, hotel rooms, a co-living kitchen, and communal spaces with high digital integration. The standout feature is the restaurant and bar, “the Yoyo,” which embodies the EATERTAINEMENT concept.

The Yoyo offers a unique dining experience with a distinctive design, cozy ambiance, gaming area, and spaces for various activities. Co-developed with Depur Experiences, the menu features gourmet, fast, and accessible US-inspired food, complemented by a signature chicken rotisserie. Guests can enjoy take-away “boxes” with raclette, fondue, and burgers, ordered through a convenient app.

Friendly, versatile staff handle multiple roles, ensuring customer delight. The restaurant and bar host live music, DJ nights, and ski event screenings, enhancing the resort's nightlife. CDA plans to expand Yoonly & Friends to other locations, including Briançon City, adapting the glocal concept to boost mountain tourism and deliver exceptional dining and entertainment experiences.
