They built their way to victory!
This edition was once again placed Under the High Patronage of Mr Emmanuel MACRON, President of the French Republic.
Satya Anand, president EMEA at Marriott International, the world's leading hotel group, presided over the ceremony.
" I am delighted to preside over this edition to celebrate the achievements in our industry and shine a light on the talents who have been delivering exceptional innovations in the most unprecedented of times. Arne Sorenson was a true believer in innovation, he once said:
"Be inquisitive, you will never know if you do not try ». How we lived, worked, traveled 20 months ago has been turned on its head. Our core purposes are welcoming guests and connecting with people. We survived and reopened our doors. As an industry we responded to the new normal. As we start to see the world returning to a new normality, it might be easy to return to the familiar, but we can’t, it is now time to embrace the path of opportunities”.
Chairman Yu, chairman and CEO of the world's second-largest hotel group Jin Jian International Hotels was awarded the Lifetime Achievement for the meteoric rise he has imprinted on the group he has been leading for numerous years,
“In my 45-years career in hospitality, I have grown from a waiter to an executive. Jin Jiang was born 86 years aga, it entered the US market in 2010, European market in 2015 and set up its global presence in 2018. After Covid 19, industrial evolution will give birth to new business models. The global industry shall work in coordination to embrace the new challenges.”
It was the projects, ideas, achievements, genius and energy of hoteliers that were rewarded at the 21st Hospitality Awards, which this year saw a record number of applications reflecting the spirit of innovation and inventiveness of the hospitality sector. This year the jury was chaired by Christian Karembeu, former French international soccer player whose career has made him travel around the world.
